Governance Workshop (G-Shop): Annual Event for Subject Matter Experts

Ready to Make a Direct Impact?
The Governance Workshop, or "G-shop," is The Commission's annual in-person event, bringing together dedicated volunteer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for three focused days every summer. If you are invited by The Commission to participate in G-shop, you will join peers, including fellow CCM and CDMS invitees, to collaborate on high-impact projects that directly advance The Commission's mission.

What to Expect:

  • Dedicated Workgroups: Participate in a focused workgroup where your expertise helps to shape the future of our certification exams or educational offerings. Workrooms taking place during G-shop typically include:
    • CCM Item Development
    • CDMS Item Development

  • High-Value Networking: Connect with other top-tier volunteer SMEs from across the industry. Shared meals and an exclusive evening welcome reception provide the perfect opportunity to build your professional network and foster collaboration.
