Case Managers come from many different practice settings and have varying job functions.  When we come together at an event like CCMC(R)'s New World Symposium(R), our diversity leads to amazing discussions and viewpoints about adaptability, effective planning and intervention, and common challenges.

As you make your plans to see us in Nashville, you may be wondering how this symposium will help to develop, empower, and inspire you. Here are our top 5 reasons for attending CCMC's New World Symposium 2018:

So you made the commitment, you are a professional case manager.  Perhaps you have studied, prepped and sat for the CCM(R) exam and now you have passed-you are a CCM. Your hard work and commitment to case management is something you can proudly display after your name. Your employer, colleagues and clients recognize you as a leader. In the words of Michael Buble, "this old world is a new world, and a bold world for me." Now what?

To retain the valued CCM(R) credential, board-certified case managers must earn 80 hours in continuing education (CE) every five years. We often receive calls from CCMs asking where they can get their CE. Now we have the solution¬-the Commission is proud to announce a brand new resource that promotes pre-approved courses to our CCMs and their employers.

Our CCM(R)s told the Commission they wanted CECs¬-and we heard them! The Commission has a pre-approval process for continuing education (CE) programs that will meet the requirements for our board-certified case managers called PACE. Organizations that provide CE are encouraged to seek pre-approval of their programs, which signifies to all our board-certified case managers that the programs are approved to use toward meeting the requirements of their certification renewal.
